The Burning House

I have noticed, while browsing my favorite blogs, the repost from "The Burning House." This blog was set up by a gentleman who photographed the items he would take with him if his house were going up in flames. He encourages others to follow and share the significance of these items.
In lieu of this I will share my own.

MacBook: holds files of photos and documents that I would not want to be without
Red Journal: memories of my travels when I was 19 and lived in Spain, and traveled through Western Europe. It logs the discovery of myself as a young adult.
Black Purse: found this at Value Village for $6 to discover it was made by Holt Renfrew
Purcolator: Reminds me of the three most valuable things: Italy, my friend Eva (who bought it for me), and coffee.
Postcards: gathered from every country and city I have been to
Degree: Took a lot of tears and joy to complete
Heart Ring: this was gifted to me by my Swedish family, and reminds me of the country I fell in love with and why.
Books: The white one was written by my friend Devon, and the other I borrowed from my friend (that I have yet to return, sorry Mike!)
Black dress: I bought this dress and could live everyday in it. It is the best use of money I have ever spent!
Glass vase: One of the only heirlooms I have from my grandmother
Guitar: My father's first guitar FG Yamaha

Summer Lovin'

This summer has had its excess of work for the financing of my return to Sweden! (Yah!) However, it has had also its highlights. This palette gives a fractional taste of what I've been up to.
1. BBQs with friends who visit
2. and 4. fashion stalking. (who said Calgary lacks style?)
3. miss moss remixes (photo from http://www.missmoss.co.za/2011/08/02/august/)
5. "Taste of Calgary" with friends Shallom and Sirk
6. Half-Marathon contestant (1:54min time!)

What does your summer palette look like?
